Progress

A week or 2 ago, it seemed I was having trouble with everything craft related - it was the week after I had finished decorating my gawjuss new craft room, and the catalogue of events was something like this: Monday night - internet refused to work and I was trying to get on it to find out how to change the ribbon on my beautiful typewriter, Tuesday night - my new Epson P50 and CISS came and after excitedly setting it up all by myself, the colours it was printing were way off! Wednesday night - I could not get my sewing machine to work with the thread I wanted to, Thursday night - got my sewing machine going with another thread and promptly broke the needle - changed the needle but still it would not work.
Each night that week I went to bed in a grump, utterly frustrated that I couldn't seem to enjoy being in my new room, and that nothing wanted to work. Even worse was that OH was away so I couldn't even get him to assist me with any of the problems (he's quite handy at problem solving when it comes to computers, type-writers, printers and sewing machines).
Anyway, I am pleased to report progress has been made on each issue! The computer is now connected to the internet via cable, as the wireless signal just wasn't cutting it. The sewing machine was taken to a local repair shop, and has been fixed and serviced for only £50.00 (phew!). The typewriter ribbon has been successfully changed. The printer has gone through several head cleanings, which removed the yukky purple tint, and I found that when I use the printer driver to print, as opposed to photoshop, the colour match is good enough for scrapbook printing.
I am happy and relieved and grateful and did I say HAPPY that everything seems to be working as it should now! (touch wood)

Awww I hate it when stuff like that happens, it's bad enough if one thing happens let alone all of them one after the other.

However, I had a look at the minibook (that broke your sewing machine) from a few posts down and it's gorgeous. I too bought one of those albums from Paperchase but I've not done anything with mine yet but you've just inspired me to. Let's hope I don't break my sewing machine though!

I too have much better look using the printer drivers for printing with my CIS. Using photoshop to control it was all well and good when I was using real Epson inks but not with the CIS. Just remember to disable the Photoshop management in both the Photoshop print screen and the printers print screen if that makes sense!
