... is key. I'm sitting at my computer, excited about my new blog, in awe at some of the wonderful blogs I've already found, with fantastic photos and brillaint layouts/mini books etc... and I'm thinking I need to get my butt in gear and load some photos of my own layouts and mini books. The reason I don't... is laziness! It's just such a chore to get the camera and plug it in! It means a search for the correct cable, a back-breaking exercise to get behind the computer and find a (rarely available) spare USB port.... messing about un-plugging something else.... then putting it all back!
Anyway, I have a solution... my OH found me a 4 way USB thingy that basically gives me more available ports (in theory), so I'm going to wire it up, and set up some sort of system whereby all my leads for cameras, phones, ipods etc are sitting neatly already plugged into the computer! So theoretically, all I would have to do is plug it in right there, no messing. I have some Ikea rails above my desk with a hanging wire basket that would be perfect to feed the wires into, and rest the gadget/camera in while in use...
