It Worked!

Following on from my below post, I've had a quick set up, and it seems to work! I've plugged in the 4 way adapter, and from that I now have my camera cable, and my ipod cable. I still have to plug my external hard drive in, and also my other camera, plus one more printer, which means I'm actually one port down now... but better than three ports down!
Sometimes I think we have too much stuff....
Anyway, following on from the success of this, I actually tested it by taking a picture of a book I made last week, and putting it onto the computer. It was a much simpler process! The book in question is actually a collection of postcards I have been keeping ever since I was a little girl. My father is from Scotland, with a lot of his relatives still living there. My great aunt used to send me postcards regularly when I was young, and I've kept them all these years, unable to chuck them away but never knowing what to do with them except store them in a shoebox in a cupboard somewhere. Going through boxes of my stuff after a recent house move, I came across them, and inspired by an article I saw once binding Christmas cards together, I came up with the idea of binding them into a mini book. I made a front and back cover, and this is the result. I have to say I love the finished result - I found the perfect papers, and the combination of these, plus the old cards with old postage stamps and postmarks, plus the hardwriting, is just lovely. I've included journaling and some photographs on the front page. I love it, and what a far better way to keep them than a shoebox.
