Ahh, another Monday is here... how do they come around so quickly! I swear Fridays don't come around this quick!

I've had a lovely weekend - painting my new kitchen on Saturday, and I'm so pleased with the progress. Brillaint white eggshell has done wonders for the grubby and shabby little kitchen. Yesterday morning the sunlight streamed through the door, bouncing light around on the new fresh white walls, and my glass jug of pink tulips from a new friend looked gorgeous, providing a splash of colour in an otherwise white and empty room.

I'm so excited to see it finished. Another coat of paint will be applied this coming weekend, and two rows of MDF shelves will be put up and painted white, the ticking fabric that I've ordered to make the curtain should arrive, and then the real fun begins! Finding treasures and pretty accessories, trawling car boots and charity shops looking for the vintage finds that I love so much. Collecting pretty china and glassware, displaying favoutire things in unique ways - love it all!

I mentioned a new friend above, well, two new friends really, a couple we've been spending time with. I've really just clicked, its' the strangest thing, but I feel like I've know them forever. I love spending time with them, and I found this photo on my phone from last weekend, when I was round having drinks with them, watching a film, eating Indian and being taught how to play Cribbage! (I suck at Cribbage... and yes, all of those drinks are mine!)

I love making friends, especially ones who are new, but don't feel like they are new!
