I just love that song! By Belle and Sebastian - I stumbled across these guys while listening to the Juno soundtrack, and particularly love Piazza New York Catcher. I don't remember why, but the song always made me think of my friend Evey, who was away travelling at the time, for 1 year! Well, she's back now, and she likes Belle and Sebastian just as much as me, and now Piazza New York Catcher is most definitely a song that just makes me think of Evey. I'm so happy she's home. It's so good to see her regularly again, and have her around. And not forgetting my Jayney Baby too, who I love and missed equally as much. Bit random there, but Piazza New York Catcher just came on my iTunes DJ as I was starting this post and it seemed as good a title as any!
I love Fridays nights in in winter, snuggled cosy with the whole weekend ahead of me to do as I please. I also love Friday nights out with my friends but this isn't one of those! I plan on having a detox style weekend, no alcohol, plenty of walking and fresh air and wholesome food and water! Maybe a spot of housework and/or gardening. I had planned to scrap tonight but got caught up reading this blog I found and loved. I have really lost my 12x12 mojo lately. Really need to try and kick start that again.
On the plus side, I ordered a new Tim Holtz stamp today! It's the memoirs one, which I saw being used in one of his tutorials, and loved. I also plan to order the craft mat and blending tool next week when I get paid, as I have three distress inks I have never even used! I'm sure one or two more distress inks will fall into the basket too.... wink!
Anyway, this is a totally mixed up ramble of a post, so I shall sign off now, and include a photo I have edited for a photo frame I recently bought. It was in TK Maxx, and was the most beautiful jade green colour, with a wide frame in a shiny crackled sort of finish... beautiful! It was only £5.00, and the only room with any green in it in our house is the bathroom.... so I bought it for our bathroom! I looked through my recent photos to find a suitable picture, as I didn't want a portrait in the bathroom, and found this one. Edited it to fit, and there it sits on my bathroom windowsill in all it's jade green glory! I'm not entirely sure the colours in the photo mesh well with the colour of the frame, I'll take a pic tomorrow in daylight and post so you can all comment!! :)
