I've had the best weekend. Last week 2 of my 3 closest girlfriends came home after a year of traveling. It was amazing to see them. Saturday just gone, one of them and our other friend (who makes up the foursome) went for lunch and drinks at the local Wetherspoons. The fourth one of us was away on hols with her family - she was literally back from travelling for 2 days before going away again! Anyway, we had the most lovely day on Saturday catching up, drinking rose wine, and lounging in the sun on the grass in the beer garden. I was at home and in bed by 9.30, exhausted and drunk and very happy! Sunday morning I woke early, bright eyed and bushy tailed, and worked on the photo's we'd taken the day before (I actually took my "big" camera out with me! Shock horror! And - it was fine - and it paid off!). I sat all morning making a mini book of the photos I had edited. There were some crackers in there. One of my friends used to study photography at college, and so knows a thing or two about it, and the other friend doesn't know anything but has the most naturally amazing composition I've ever seen on someone who just points and shoots! She doesn't even have to try. And I've shown her how to adjust the focal point on my camera, so she can focus properly. All that makes for some impressive pictures, including ones with me in, which I love, as I'm always the one behind the camera!
Anyway, here are some of my faves. I know this is a real jumbly tumbly post, but you know where you have so much to say that the world just tumble out without having much structure, or making a whole lot of sense? It's like that today! I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking - I really feel that a couple of these are true of the saying "A picture speaks a thousand words". :)

Lovely photos, obviously taking the biggie out with you paid off in spades - can't wait to see the mini book you make using them!!
